The history of a unique restaurant in a historic cave

It all started around the year 2000, when the owner, while making a tourist book about Villamantilla, discovered the existence of the cave. From that discovery arose an idea as surprising as it was Emociantne: to open a unique restaurant.

In its beginnings, the cave was a place of family gatherings and private parties. It was not until 2010 that the doors were opened to the public. The first years were full of tests and illusions, always with the aim of offering a different experience, marked by the authentic flavor of wood-fired cooking.

The unique character of the establishment has attracted several television programs such as Route 179, who have visited us on several occasions, Madrid improves your life, , my camera and me, among others who have had the opportunity to discover our passion for gastronomy. It has also served to record sketches and movie scenes and video clips.

Meat, fish, vegetables, rice, roast… or perhaps a good Madrid stew?
We have options for all tastes, always prioritizing the quality of the ingredients and adapting to your preferences.

For the most carnivorous, we offer cuts such as ribeye, entrecot, lamb chops, sirloin, secret or ribs. And if you are looking for a more intense flavor, we recommend you try our matured meats or the unmistakable certified ox.

If you come from outside of Madrid, or you fancy something more traditional, you can’t miss the Madrid stew with four turns*.

The Roasts* are another of our specialties. Piglet, lamb and kid, all with D.O. and made in our wood oven to preserve the tradition.

And, of course, the rice is not missing*. We prepare it with the time and care it requires, to get the perfect point and finish it with a smoked wood.
